「HFE for Eliminating Avoidable Harm in Health Care」特刊徵稿
2002年第55屆世界衛生大會(World Health Assembly, WHA)，在會中呼籲各國應重視病人安全的工作，並發起籌組國際性病人安全組織，遂於2004年10月成立世界病人安全聯盟(World Alliance for patient safety)。而後16年間，世界衛生組織(World Health Organization)持續倡議病人安全，直到今年，WHO提出2021-2030全球病人安全行動計畫(Global Patient Safety Action Plan 2021–2030)，該計畫願景是「無人在健康照護中受到傷害，每位病人在任何時候、任何地方都能得到安全與尊重的照護」，使命為「在科學、病人體驗、系統設計和夥伴關係的基礎上推動政策和行動，以從根源消除病人和醫護人員所有可能遭遇的風險和傷害」。
中華民國人因工程學會(簡稱人因學會)與財團法人醫院評鑑暨醫療品質策進會(簡稱醫策會)多年來持續合作，從2014年的國際研討會Healthcare Systems Ergonomics and Patient Safety (HEPS) Conference到2021年的醫療人因工程研討會，雙方將人因工程結合病人安全與提升醫療品質的方法，以及人因與醫療職業安全的概念與做法，推廣至國內各醫療院所，使得我國病人安全與醫療品質以及醫療職業安全更為精進。
國際SCI indexed期刊International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (2020 影響指數為3.390)今年為病人安全議題成立特刊「HFE for Eliminating Avoidable Harm in Health Care」，敬邀我國人因工程與病人安全專家學者共同將合作研究成果見諸於國際，一方面響應WHO之2021-2030全球病人安全行動計畫；二方面提升及加速國內對病人安全領域之研究能量與推行力道，掀起各界的重視及熱潮；三方面透過此SCI indexed期刊讓全世界見證我國人因學會與醫策會在病人安全的群力合作成果。
