摘要 |
The aim of this study was to explore the effect of display medium (screen vs. paper) and luminance contrast on memory performance, subjective performance and physiological response (EEG, brain wave). Forty subjects performed a memory task in the experiment. The results showed that: memory performances for paper were slightly better than for screen, but the differences were not statistically significant. EEG α and θ activities were also similar for the two display media. However, subjective performance working on paper was better than on screen. Luminance contrast had significant effects on memory performance and EEG. Memory performance was better for contrast 1:3; frontal θ-wave increase and α-wave suppression were also greater under contrast 1:3. It seemed that subjects were not attentive and their working memory activity was higher when luminance contrast was 1:3 than when it was 1:15. |
