摘要 |
This study, using a questionnaire directed to parents, investigated the time young children spend playing computer games and environmental factors relevant to health and safety. A positive correlation was found between age of child and hours spent playing computer games, and a negative correlation between age and eye problems (i.e. the older the child, the more time is spent playing computer games, and the greater is the incidence of eye problems). A positive correlation was also found between size of monitor and distance from the monitor when playing, and both were negatively correlated with playing hours. Children who played fighting and action games frequently tended to display physical symptoms, but the association was not significant. |
